"As a little girl, I was called to the priesthood. My call was ridiculed by most people, but I did everything that I could to serve on the altar. I was a lector from a young age. As an adult, I also served as a Eucharistic Minister and sacristan. I became a wife, mother and lawyer, but my call has never gone away. I am currently training to become a Spiritual Director. In the last few years, my call to ordained ministry in the Catholic Church has returned and is stronger than ever. I have been trying to discern how to respond to this long ago call to my heart. I know that the Holy Spirit does not call men only and that my vocation is authentic. I would not hesitate to become a deacon and finally be able to fully serve God at the altar and beyond."
