Kaylyn Taylor

Broken Bay Diocese New South Wales Australia

"I am a consecrated woman of the Church and have been employed as School Chaplain for a number of years and as Chaplain to the homeless in a local Community Service Centre for three years. Prior to these ministries I was a Primary School teacher. I am actively involved in my Parish as one of the two Liturgy Co-ordinators, a member of the Parish Pastoral Council and Sacramental Programmer. I am also a member of the Diocesan Ecumenical Commission. I want the Church to acknowledge that women are already working as Deaconesses without the formal recognition of their commitment and ministry. It is not just an argument of historical fact that justifies the ordination of women to the Diaconate but a matter of justice for women in active ministry today who are already in the service of the Church."
